5052 aluminum coil is Aluminum-magnesium alloy aluminum coil. Mg is the main alloying element in 5052 aluminum coil. It is the most widely used rust-proof aluminum. The alloy is high in nature, especially fatigue resistance, plasticity and corrosion resistance, with high strength. It can not be heat-treated, the plasticity of it is good in semi-cold hardening. It’s low in plasticity during cold hardening, and good in corrosion resistance with good weldability, poor machinability and polishing.
Application of 5052 aluminum coil
The 5052 aluminum coil is widely used in automobiles. It is commonly used in covers and parts, truck shock absorbers, etc., for example, the side panels of semi-trailers produced in the United States and the 5052 aluminum alloy with inner thicknesses of 4-5 mm.

- The surface is allowed to have peeling, air bubbles, surface roughness. and it is also allowed to have local mechanical damage with a depth not exceeding 8% of the nominal thickness of the part where the defect is located. But the maximum depth of the defect shall not exceed 0.5 mm, and the total area of the defect shall not exceed the total area of the coil 5%.
